205 Million Christians.....Really?
Wikipedia says there are 205 million Christians in the United States. Presumably, these are God-fearing believers who have at least a passing relationship with the Bible. (God's Word)
205 million folks, including the so-called “Evangelical Christians” who, by very definition, should be “born again” Christians who believe in the teachings of Jesus, and ought to be preaching or spreading the “Good News”.....ever see them do that.....any of them? "The term evangelical comes from the word "evangel" which is a word form in Greek from the New Testament that refers to the good news of Jesus Christ -- that Jesus came to save humanity -- and evangelicals have a particular take on the good news. That makes them distinctive from other Christians. It could be summarized, I think, with four cardinal beliefs that evangelicals tend to hold, at least officially.
One belief is that the Bible is inerrant. It was without error in all of its claims about the nature of the world and the nature of God.
A second belief is that the only way to salvation is through belief in Jesus Christ.
A third belief, and one that is most well known, is the idea that individuals must accept salvation for themselves. They must become converted. Sometimes that's referred to as a born-again experience, sometimes a little different language.
Then the fourth cardinal belief of evangelicals is the need to proselytize, or in their case, to spread the evangel, to evangelize."
Yet, where is their public outcry that points out that the “End Times” which we are now in, (and as described in the Bible) is brought about by the influence of Satan (evil) that is in this world. God's Word, the holy Bible (our personal owner's manual) says that evil ones (antichrists) have been here for Millenia.

God wiped out mankind the first time, but He saved Noah, his family, and the animals.
Then He wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah because of mankind's evildoings, and He promised to do it again…..permanently this time. In addition to all unbelievers, He is going to destroy Earth itself.
The bible, written Millenia before Jesus was born, has predicted what the world will look like prior to Jesus's return to collect His believers before, as He states, Matthew 24:21“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.”
All you need to do is look around. Do you think it is just a coincidence that, among many others, these facts are NOT signs of what is to come?
- civility is dead or dying,
- respect is gone,
- honor is gone,
- integrity is gone,
- lying is a way of life,
- they are shooting our kids,
- mothers are drowning them,
- hate/conflict are crippling democracies,
- our Representatives won't represent us,
- racial/ethnic biases are out of control,
- climate changes are growing exponentially,
- the ice cap is melting, seas are rising,
- storms are getting bigger & more frequent,
- droughts & famines are killing people,
- crops are failing,
- forests are burning,
- the rich will not pay their share of taxes,
- the poor cannot afford to eat.
How much evidence do you need…..even former players are ripping off the NBA for millions…..Really?
Are we so afraid of the devil that we refuse to acknowledge that he is here? (Jesus said: “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” - Matthew 10:28)
Step up Christians…..you ARE Christians…..right? (Wikipedia says you are) Do the right thing, develop a spine, speak out. (“but whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven.” - Matthew 10:33)
We voraciously devour every book, publication, text, oration, opinion, or comment by man in his narcissistically infinite wisdom. How about chewing a bit on God's Word…..unlike the other stuff, it is NOT fictitious or based on man's interpretation of things?
There are all kinds of truth in there. Sure, it can be boring for folks not interested in the bible…..and it may sometimes be difficult to understand BUT, disregarding what it says CAN doom your soul. You DO have a soul…..right?
To all those who claim to know the bible, and claim themselves to be Christians, (you know…..believe that Jesus died for our sins) here is a test that the bible gives; (“Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus be cursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit.” 1Corinthians 12:3)
If you can say “Jesus is Lord” aloud, in front of others and mean it, you ARE a Christian. God bless you.
If not, stop the charade. Stop spreading misinformation. The bible has never been proven wrong. Following it will even save your soul, but you must choose to do what it says. Maybe reading 1 John, chapter 3 in its entirety will be helpful. There is much more. Good Luck!
As for me, out of those 205,000,000 reported Christians, (most of whom seem unwilling to face the truth as God presents it) I cannot ignore what is in front of me…..the things I believe and the things I see and experience.
God gave believers the responsibility to spread the “Good News” of the Gospel that Jesus was sacrificed for us, and that those who believed would be “saved”. (and kept out of what is to come) He also predicted that Satan would trick people into not believing the truth.
I firmly believe that the “End Times”, with all the predicted ‘Tribulation' events predicted by the bible…..AND as illustrated by current world attitudes, circumstances and events, are upon us.
God did not warn Earth's residents (except Noah) when He flooded the Earth. He did not warn the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah before he wiped them out.
God DID warn all of us about His final plans for us. HE SENT JESUS TO WARN US.
Well, here we are, the truth is in front of us, God's Plan is playing out. Open your eyes people. It is not too late…..yet.
