Taking a Trip Soon?
Pack light…..don't forget your asbestos suit.
I am not a historian. I am not a theologian.....I am an observer.
I can't speak to the rise, or fall, or even the current status of countries, governments, and peoples throughout the world. I can only observe.
I know what I know, but I do not have the capacity to know what I don't know so, like you, I have to rely on those who might.
As an American, born of immigrants who were born between 1910 and 1924 (the so-called “Greatest Generation”), I inherited the principles, morals, and other values that were common to that generation.
If you were born when I was, around 1940 but before the end of WWII, then you too inherited those principles, morals, and other values. If you were born later than that, you might not have all of them. If you were born recently, you might not have any at all.
And therein lies a problem. Do you suspect that today's generation would put “under God” into the Pledge of Allegiance? Or agree with “in God we trust” on our money? Probably not too many.
People my age, or thereabouts, would recognize and understand what I am writing here. Young people might not. They might not care because they weren't taught to care. Every generation seems to gain knowledge but lose perspective.
So…..this is for them. Whether you are a Christian, an Atheist, an Agnostic, a Muslim, a Jew, Male, Female, Gay, Straight, Trans, African-American, Hispanic, Chinese, Japanese, White, or any other classification, sect, or group of human beings, you need to be aware of the era we are in and the consequences of being here at this time.
I am, of course, referring to what is commonly called the “End Times”. Even though many people don't believe in God, or that the bible is God's “Word”, they all have an innate knowledge or feeling that there is a “higher power”. (Remember the observation of soldiers in WWII that “there are no atheists in foxholes”)
Before blustering through the rest of your life thinking you are smarter than all those “bible thumpers” and “Jesus freaks”, you might consider opening your mind to another possibility. It might not be them who is wrong.
If you are not a believer that Jesus is the Son of God or that He was crucified, you might want to think about brushing up on your history. There is a whole lot riding on your understanding and acceptance of those facts.
The main term you should be researching is the “Good News”.
The “Good News” is that Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice so that our sins could be forgiven. All we have to do to gain salvation is to accept that.
The bad news is that if you don't accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will NOT be ‘saved' when Jesus returns to take His followers to live with Him forever. (why you need your asbestos suit)
By the way, “forever” is a pretty long time. It can be spent in peace and love or it can be spent in your asbestos suit. Your choice.
Now…..to the “End Times”.
The bible makes it clear that we are very close to Jesus's return. (Second Coming) There is a passage in the bible which gives a pretty clear indication of the era we are in now.
Luke 21:29 (NKJV)Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place”.
Without getting “religious”, there are certain documented and verifiable facts which you ought to look at objectively and without bias. You should look at these facts on your own and without outside opinions. When those facts become obvious to you, you will develop an unexplainable urge to investigate further and to learn more.
If you choose not to, and that is certainly your right to do so, you should know that there are serious consequences for rejecting the facts.be no second chances when Jesus returns. No ‘do-overs', no ‘Mulligans'.
Some documented and verifiable facts that you have seen yourself or have heard about:
The dramatic increases in the number and intensity of:
- Climate-related issues
- recent devastating hurricanes and storms,
- out of control wildfires,
- rising ocean temperatures,
- rapidly melting glaciers,
- rising tide levels,
- rising air pollution,
- rising earthquake and volcanic activity.
- Domestic & International violence issues
- School shootings
- Murders & Assaults
- Terrorism
- Robberies and Rapes
- Drug-related
- Humanitarian issues
- Trafficking children
- Separating children from parents
- Single family homes
- Refusing to allow immigration of people in need
- Priests abusing children – Churches covering it up
- Homelessness
- Wrongful incarceration
- Outrageous prescription & medical costs
- Lack of morality
- Lack of ethics
- Lack of empathy
- Lack of values
These facts are not coincidences.
They are Satan's work. He knows his time is short and will destroy all he can.
THAT DOES NOT HAVE TO INCLUDE YOU…..but it IS up to you to decide where your soul will reside forever.
Matthew 24: 8 (KJV) says
“All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
*The Bible Exposition Commentary defines “sorrows” as ‘Death. Earthquakes help to create famines, and both help to cause epidemics that take many lives.'
Do you suppose the latest ‘epidemic' of the new coronavirus might be an example?
How About Some Basics
Do you see any difference in these planets in our solar system? (not to scale) Does one stand out? Any chance God had something to do with it?
Believe it or not, the bible says He did. Let's assume He did.
Did you know that life (mankind) started in the Middle East…..and will end there? (Armageddon)
The Book of Revelations describes the “End Times” in great detail but it does so in parables which are very difficult to understand. It is easy to see why the average person ignores it.
However, there are many references in the bible to the “End Times” or “Sorrows” that are very clear, and despite efforts by many to convince you otherwise, the bible has never been proven wrong.
Bible interpreters state that all prophesies, necessary to be filled before Jesus returns, HAVE BEEN FULFILLED. There is nothing left to be done before He returns.
Like you, I am NOT a bible interpreter. As we all rely on doctors to do our surgery, mechanics to fix our cars, farmers to grow our crops, etc., we have to rely on bible interpreters to clarify what the bible actually says or refers to.
Because of my faith in God, I believe the bible IS the word of God. It has become my “personal owner's manual”.
If you need a bottom-line quip to demonstrate some of what the bible says, you should remember the words of Chicken Little. “The sky is falling”…..or is about to.
But this is no joke.
Something of Note
The first clause of the 1st Amendment in the U.S. Constitution's Bill of Rights states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”
That is popularly interpreted to equate with separating church and state, BUT it does NOT say that.
It merely implies “hands off”, don't interfere with religious matters.
As a general result though, of the popular interpretation of that clause, the Congress, and the people themselves, have jumped down the rabbit hole of immorality and amorality.
The Congress argues that the government CAN'T regulate those things and, since the people don't believe in God and His Commandments, they WON'T.
When amorality and immorality (which includes things like values, morals, principles, conscience, self-restraint, traditions, and laws) fail, lawlessness becomes a way of life. Guess where we are now? God has dealt harshly with this in the past. This time, there will be no reprieve.
Did you know that careful bible scholars can find no evidence that the United States even exists in the so-called “End Times”? Do you think maybe you should look into this?
