What About Life AFTER Death?
Jesus told Nicodemus (and his followers)"If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?"
This statement is the backbone of us understanding about our life after we die. Jesus's statement is that there are things which we cannot understand.
Jesus also said "Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it."
This latter statement is meant to tell us that unless we believe in Him, (as a child believes in things which cannot be seen) we will never get to Heaven.
"I am that Living Bread that came down out of heaven. Anyone eating this Bread shall live forever; this Bread is my flesh given to redeem humanity."
His "flesh" is His body which was sacrificed on the cross so that we could be saved.....IF WE CHOOSE TO.
The bottom line to get into Heaven.....INSTEAD OF THE OTHER PLACE, is we have to believe in, and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
Did I mention "the other place"? My bad.....it is Hell.(aka - the Lake of Fire)
In the Book of Revelation, it is stated "...And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books"...
"...and anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire..."
Did I mention that was for eternity? You might want to think about that a bit!
It is the strong hope of this author that the information contained on this website will, at a very minimum, encourage you to look further into accepting Jesus as Lord & Savior, and hopefully persuade you to actually do that.
